Role and Key Contribution

The growing complexity of modern railway operation and management systems mandates continuous research in new techniques and approaches on how to use state-of-the-art hardware as well as system and software engineering methods for safety critical solutions in the railway business.

As a leading actor in the railway market, Thales Austria contributes to ECSEL-Austria with its expertise in safety critical embedded railway equipment and software.
Currently, Thales Austria is involved in CRYSTAL, nSafeCer and EMC2 and plans to continue its involvement in future ECSEL projects.
