EEMCO is an Austrian deep-tech company headquartered in Leonding, specialising in the research, development and production of high-quality silicon carbide (SiC) single crystals and wafers for advanced semiconductor applications.
As part of the EBNER Group ecosystem, EEMCO combines materials science, crystal growth, analytical expertise and industrial engineering to strengthen a resilient European wide bandgap semiconductor value chain.
Role and Key Contribution
- Develops and industrialises high-quality 200 mm silicon carbide single crystals and substrates for power electronics, e-mobility, renewable energy, defence, artificial intelligence and other strategic applications
- Contributes to Austria’s and Europe’s wide bandgap semiconductor ecosystem through R&D, pilot manufacturing, IPCEI ME/CT activities and cooperation with leading industrial and research partners.
- Supports European technological sovereignty by building a localized, sustainable and scalable SiC supply chain with strong focus on quality, traceability, ESG performance and industrial reliability.
